Well, okay, but I'm still mad 5/8/03
He's gone. That's done, then. Should have been done last week, but it's done now so I won't complain. Did you see him up there? He was so out of his league with those three. Of course, now I'm getting all Paula-ish and don't want anyone to go. But I'll get over that. Oh, and I laughed my ass off when they brought the baby up and she was crying. Word, baby. Those violent faces scare me too. In other news, I am boycotting "American Juniors." I refuse to support a show that encourages fame-whorery at such an early age. I might be done with reality TV as a whole. It depresses me (mostly) and it puts me out of work. Okay, I just wish it put me out of work since I'm not in any work that I could get put out of. And EW! The Justin and Kelly movie! I'm so not seeing it. I'd probably go if I had a snarky friend, but none of my friends are even remotely snarky. Or, even better, what if I had a snarky boyfriend? We could alternately bust on the movie and make out. But I have no one to bust on it with (or grope) me, so I don't go. So, Kim is going next week. I'm too firmly based in reality (and this is me we're talking about) to think she'll stay. Clay and Ruben's fan bases are too devoted (and scary- if you don't know what I'm talking about, see the TWOP forums) to let them get voted off. So goodbye, other best friend. I love you, but you aren't quite as huggable as Clay and Ruben. You will be missed.
As it has been written... 5/16/03
The Locke is gone. I won't waste time mourning here. I've made my peace with it. Now, it's down to Ruben and Clay. I love them both, so I'm happy whoever wins. My money's on Ruben, though. His style fits in more with pop. But, if you ask me, neither of them are pop, really. They both have voices that jibe more readily with the adult contemporary market. I sometimes call them the Barrys. Clay being the Manilow and Ruben being the White. Anyway, Ruben will win, I predict. There's a part of me rooting for Clay because Ruben would make it without winning. He'd be signed a second after. I'm not so sure about my little Clay. He's just so croonery. He's just so (hate to say it) Broadway. But who am I kidding? Justin was second and he's hideous and he has an album. I think the exposure alone will help them. I don't know. Tral-la-la. We'll see Ruben win next week, anyway... I mean, we'll see what happens. Not sure what I'm gonna do when this show's over. I've already gorged on my X-files season 7 DVDs (instead of saving them for the treadmill or at least savoring them. Guess I binge by nature).
